Jessica Parker, BookLogix Project Manager
Jessica Parker graduated from the University of Georgia in 2008 with a degree in Comparative Literature and a minor in Journalism. Her experience includes working as a sports writer/editor for a local sports newspaper for two years. She also worked as a freelance writer/reporter for several other newspapers. In 2011 she joined the BookLogix team, and since then has worked as an editor and project manager for the company. She is now the publishing sales manager and works with authors to form and publish their books.
BookLogix looks for illustrators who have not only the ability to bring an author’s words to life through unique and appealing images, but also those who have the ability to add unique touches to the overall book such as illustrated text treatments. We also look for illustrators who have a variety of illustration styles that are nicely showcased on their online portfolio. Knowledge of cover design and layout is always a plus because the ability to understand the format of the book and placement of text is important.
Jessica will be on the Quickfire Panel at Illustrators’ Day.
