Volunteer Spotlight: Local Liaisons

Southern Breeze runs entirely on volunteers, and we’d like to spotlight one important group of regional volunteers–our local liaisons.

Now that in-person programming is possible again, our Southern Breeze local liaisons are beginning to reach out to members in their areas to offer opportunities to gather for networking, socializing, or honing your craft.

If you are new to SCBWI, or to our region, please take a moment to find your local liaison listed below. If you live in one of these areas and haven’t received an email from a volunteer, please reach out to us at so we can follow up with our membership coordinator and your local liaison. If you live in an area without a local liaison, please reach out to us if you’re interested in filling this important role.

The Savannah group met Saturday at a local library, with new local liaison Nancy Miller (see image) heading up a meet and greet of local kidlit creators. It was wonderful to learn about new projects, share frustrations as well as celebrate good news, and brainstorm ways we can bring opportunities to our members.
