Interested in Creating Graphic Novels?

Graphic novels allow creators to combine words and images to tell compelling and engaging stories that are tremendously popular with young readers. But how do you even begin the process of making a graphic novel? Join graphic novelist Victoria Jamieson as she talks about her career as a picture book creator turned graphic novelist. We’ll talk about writing scripts, panels, pacing, and the technical nitty-gritty of making a graphic novel. Come prepared with questions and some paper and pencils for this interactive and hands-on workshop.
Victoria Jamieson is a New York Times bestselling author and illustrator of books for children. Her graphic novel ROLLER GIRL was awarded a 2016 Newbery Honor.
