Are you ready for an online deep-dive into self-publishing?
Join us Friday, June 10 for an inspirational keynote by none other than award-winning author, Darcy Pattison.
Saturday, June 11 we’ll begin the day with a social for all registered attendees. It’s a great chance to meet other creatives who are interested in pursuing the self-publishing path and are seeking community. Our programming will begin with attorney and self-published author Tanisia Moore, who will discuss the legal aspects of self-publishing, including common pitfalls to avoid. Then, illustrator TeMika Grooms will dig into how to budget for and work with an illustrator . After lunch, author-illustrator Daniel Vandever will breakdown the nitty gritty, nuts & bolts aspects of self-publishing.
Sunday, June 12, we will be back in the afternoon with Darcy Pattison again, where she will explain how to find your audience, ways to market your books and how to submit for consideration for awards. After Darcy has answered questions, we will invite everyone to join us for another social to wrap up, find critique partners and discuss interest in a monthly ongoing virtual chat for members who are self-published or working towards it.
A recording will be available for one month following the event for all registered guests.
